The Colca Canyon is one of the most epic natural wonders in the world. Home to fantastic Andean wildlife, as well as traditional Peruvian communities, this colorful and majestic area is a haven for culture vultures and nature lovers.
If your tour includes a pre-sunrise start, then make sure you bring breakfast, as this is unlikely to be included. Many tours do not include entrance fees to attractions such as lagoons, national parks, and hot springs, so be prepared to cover these when you arrive.
At present Cusco is a safe city with limited or no criminal activities. Local population is generally friendly and police are cordial to deal with. It is however recommended that you keep your belongings safe.
