Arrive in Guwahati and proceed to the luxury resort. On the way we will visit Kamakhya Devi Temple on the Nilachal Hills which is one of the most powerful shrines of Tantric Hinduism where a part of Shakti resides since before time. People have reported strange vibrations and energy from the temple premises. After encountering the divine feminine energy of the Hindu mother, we take a turn towards Meghalaya - the abode of the clouds, scattered by the greens of the hills all around. We take a stop at Nongpoh, famous for its pines, covered by the blues of the sky. From Umling, we continue up to lake Umiam - which is a beautiful spot for a stopover. Though it is an artificial lake created by constructing a dam, the colors where Lake Umiam meets the sky are out of the world. We can also go kayaking, water scooting, or boating in the Umiam lake. Either way, keep clicking pictures, and after being lost for words, return to the resort. We will be served authentic Assamese cuisine, which primarily consists of scrumptious dishes.

The route is full of natural wonders - dramatic gorges and ravines, waterfalls, limestone caves, etc. Today we head out for an exciting adventure, in the natural yet wonderful world of caves, by exploring a cave called Krem Mawmluh. Here you will reach the mouth of the cave after trekking for about 45 minutes from the road head. You have to change into your caving gear - a wetsuit, caving suit, helmet, and headlamps. Are you ready to live your adventure…….to take the plunge?” We were gearing up for the gruelling climb to the summit of a 20,000+ ft peak in the Himalayas and this question kept reverberating in my mind as we commenced our hike at midnight. It was the full moon and night of a lunar eclipse, as we crossed the glacier and started the steep ascent towards the summit ridge, I was panting and my mind was getting blurred ....”can you do it after so many years?” On the ridge the body had given up, it was only the mind and we kept chugging up and ahead, roped up and in unison. On the summit we took the plunge and Reccy was born.
We were all young adventurers in college - doing mountaineering, hiking, rock climbing, skydiving, scuba diving, paragliding, skiing - and then got busy with our professions….. with pharma research, in the Air Force, designing and erecting steel plants, developing software, in investment banking and private equity….and then we came back together to indulge in our passion again. But planning an adventure trip can be arduous, we struggled with these questions everytime we wanted to go out of our comfort zones again.
Hence our mission is to make it easier to search, compare, plan and book the best adventures worldwide…...so that we get inspired to Cross the Line.
