Taking you through the beautiful valleys and mountain ranges around Innsbruck, ski touring will be a breathtaking experience. While physically challenging, you will be rewarded by beautiful views no matter what route you choose.
Ski touring will take you on off-piste routes that present higher risks of hazards – such as avalanches. An avalanche safety kit is required, and for more safety you can follow an avalanche awareness course at the ATC or the SAAC. It is always advised to go ski touring with a local guide as he will be able to advise you on the route most adapted to your skills and to the current mountain conditions. Finally, make sure that your insurance covers you for off-piste riding.
