Rafting on the Simme River provides an exciting, but very safe opportunity for groups of various ages to participate in an outdoor activity together. Rafting through the Simmental Valley offers passengers a unique vantage point of the Swiss countryside that runs alongside the river and beyond.
White-water rafting on the Simme is only available between May and September, as the waters become too frigid and treacherous in the colder months. If the weather is poor on the day of the trip, you can expect the rafting trip to be rescheduled for an alternate day or time. Children as young as 12 are allowed to join with parental permission, and the maximum weight capacity per person is 125kg. Lastly, Switzerland is part of the Schengen area, and travelers from outside this area are required to present a valid passport or visa to enter.
