A tandem paragliding flight above Interlaken and Lake Thun offers a bird’s-eye view of the diverse Swiss countryside and the surrounding Alpine peaks during any season. It’s an excellent, low-risk opportunity for people of almost any age to safely enjoy an airborne adventure together.
Although gliding on the alpine winds can be chilly at any time of year, you will need to pack extra layers if you plan to enjoy this activity during the winter months. The trip begins at 1,350 meters above sea level; if you are not used to high altitudes, you may want to spend time at a higher altitude location beforehand to allow your body to adjust to the thinner air. Additionally, most pilots are only able to accompany people who weigh 100kg or less, to ensure a safe and enjoyable flight for both parties. And lastly, Interlaken is located in the Schengen area, and travelers from outside this area are required to present a valid passport or visa to enter.
