Paragliding over Pokhara is a relatively accessible, low-risk, affordable way to enjoy the Nepalese countryside, especially if you are limited in time. Viewing Mt. Machhapuchhre and Mt. Annapurna from such great heights is a truly unique experience that will please any traveler.
All pilots must be certified to fly within Nepal. Even if you become certified, a local guide is still required to approve the starting point due to the large number of charter flights over the valley. This adventure is only available in spring and fall, and is appropriate for older children and adults, though age limits vary by company. Lastly, Nepal requires all international travelers (with the exception of Indian nationals) to hold or purchase a visa.
