The Riffelhorn is a popular climb in the region for beginners and experienced climbers alike. While it will not take you to the highest summit, it offers unbeatable views over the Alpine region and is one of the most rewarding climbs, whether you are training for a more challenging outing or polishing your skills.
Despite the climbing season being in the summer months, from June to September, the weather can get really cold while climbing – making it important to pack appropriate clothing. Your guide will give you more information regarding the necessary equipment depending on the current conditions, but most routes will require rock climbing shoes. The Riffelhorn might not be the most challenging climb in the region, but you need to prepare adequately for the ascent by keeping physically fit and starting training ahead of time if needed. And finally, as always, make sure that your travel insurance covers climbing expeditions to avoid bad surprises!
