What all one needs to consider before deciding on the trip …open ended, but can include weather, prevention of altitude sickness, packing, clothing, food, water, fitness, gear, permit, vaccination, visa, insurance etc.
Some of these have been covered in the Adventure Story, fitness guide and checklist for this climb and should be cross referenced
You will need to set aside at least two days for this climb. Set out early and leave yourself plenty of time for the journey down.
The route is very technical and climbers will need experience with scrambling in heavy boots, and have a good grip of technical footwork.
It is advisable to pack at least 50m of your own rope for the climb, as well as heavy duty rock shoes.
The best time to attempt this climb is between June until September, when you are less likely to encounter rain.
