Easily accessible as a one-day trip from Chamonix, the Aiguille de Rochefort mountaineering tour is the perfect opportunity to witness first-hand one of the most photographed landscapes in the Mont Blanc Valley. Offering a great playground for intermediate and experienced climbers alike, it is a favorite amongst worldwide adventurers.
Despite being only a day trip, the Aiguille de Rochefort is a demanding excursion for which climbers will need previous Alpine experience, notably with abseiling techniques. You will also reach high altitudes as the summit culminates at 4001 meters, so altitude sickness may be a concern. Make sure to bring enough water and to advise your guide in case you are not feeling good. Finally, the high altitude means that you will need to make sure that your insurance covers your expedition, as most insurance will require you to purchase an extra for climbing over 3000m.
