The Laguna 69 might be a day hike, but it is nonetheless challenging so make sure to come prepared! Altitude sickness is a real concern here, so bring a lot of water and medicine if needed and do not try to rush while on the trail – take your time, enjoy the landscapes and let your body acclimatize at its own pace. While you can definitely hike solo, most tours actually offer good value packages including transportation and guides that are not far off from the price you would pay hiking on your own.
