The Ghorepani Poonhill trek offers almost anyone the chance to explore the Himalayas. This trip is easy and friendly to people of varying fitness levels and ages, and you don’t have to sacrifice the feeling of adventure. The sunrise view from the top of Poon Hill is also a highly coveted one that’s known throughout the world.
This trek can be completed solo or with a guide. Due to the abundance of teahouses, well-traveled trails, and fellow trekkers constantly on route, it is completely safe to travel unguided if you feel comfortable doing so. There are no special permits required for this short trek. However, international visitors to Nepal will be required to present a valid international visa or purchase one at the Kathmandu airport, with the exception of Indian nationals.
